An activist has taken legal action against Francis Kiragu, an accountant at the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA), for allegedly holding a public office without the necessary qualifications.
Kiragu, who has worked for KEPROBA for over twenty-five years, is facing scrutiny over allegations that he lacks the required credentials for his role as Senior Officer Finance.
Activist Francis Awino has filed a petition in the High Court, questioning Kiragu’s accounting background and seeking his removal from office.
Awino claims that Kiragu only holds a certificate in telephone operations and lacks the qualifications necessary to manage financial matters at the government agency.
This petition challenges Kiragu’s capacity to perform his duties effectively, given his purported lack of proper academic credentials.
