Wajir County Assembly Speaker Abdille Yussuf has now broken his silence and demanded that the state produces the missing Wajir County MCA in 14 days or else they do the unthinkable.

Hon. Abdille Yussuf while speaking at a press conference alongside other MCA’s said that it was unfortunate for the state to pretend that everything was fine as the family and the colleagues of the missing MCA continue to suffer.

In a hard hitting statement, the speaker said that just like other MCAs, they were suspecting their colleague is being held by the government operatives.

“As an assembly, we are convinced and confident that Yussuf is being held by the government,” he categorically stated.

He said that all the MCA’s accross the 47 counties will be closing down the county assemblies if the MCA is not found within 14 days.

He further urged President William Ruto led government to grant enough security to all the MCA’s across the country saying that, there life was in danger and they are being looked down upon

In past few days, Pressure has been building up from various quotas including human rights groups and the family of the MCA to have Yusuf produced.

A week ago , Nairobi High Court issued orders for the Wajir MCA Yussuf Ahmed who went missing be produced dead or alive .

The family had earlier told the High Court Judge Alexander Muteti, that the government may have deposited the wrong body in Lake Yahud to mislead the family of the missing MCA.

This is after examinations of the DNA results showed that a body supposedly to be of the MCA retrieved on September 20 from Lake Yakub in Wajir did not match that of the Yussuf.
