Two-time champions Morocco are the first team to arrive in Nairobi, Kenya for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 which will kick-off in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday, 02 August 2025.

Morocco stands out as one of the most successful countries in the competition, having won the tournament in back-to-back editions on home soil in 2018 and again in Cameroon in 2021.

They are one of only two nations to have won the title twice, the other being DR Congo, whom they will face in this year’s group stage.

The Atlas Lions are drawn in a tough Group A alongside hosts Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and DR Congo. They will kick off their campaign against Angola next Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Meanwhile, the remaining Group A teams, DR Congo, Angola, and Zambia are expected to arrive in Nairobi in the coming days. Zambia arrives on Tuesday, while the DRC and Angola will touch down on Thursday afternoon.

Sixteen participating National Teams join co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda for the TotalEnergies CHAN PAMOJA 2024.

CAF has been working closely with the three Local Organising Committee (LOC) to ensure a seamless welcome, including final registration, logistics, and match-readiness briefings.
