Mogra Children’s Home Celebrates Easter In Pomp And Colour

Mogra Children’s Home, an abode for more than 1,500 orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) Monday played host to an important Guest who joined the children on his birthday.
Mr. Tony Michael Kimani, the Chief Officer Inspectorate Department, celebrated his birthday in the home where he was also joined by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.

He celebrated his 50th birthday by sharing goodies with the orphans.

The Governor asked families to support orphans and nurture them despite harsh economic times. He emphasized the need for parental care for children left by their loved ones.

“We keep supporting and giving these children love and protection. Money is not everything but love, care support and protection is the key driver to their success. We are fathers and mothers to these children, if we can’t support them who else will do so?” He quipped.

Sakaja noted that his Dishi na County program will not just narrow down to pupils from public schools but will instead encompass all Nairobi Children wherever they are.

Chief Officer Tony emphasized the need to give parental care to orphans
“I take mantel to care for these children and today we are sitting here fulfilling scripture by caring and remembering our orphan children who were left by their loved ones . We are their fathers and mothers and today we are here to take responsibility as parents” said Tonny

Mogra Children’s home Director Apostle Hannah Wairimu urged parents to take responsibility by providing and protecting their children.
“Not all children here are orphans, some were abandoned by their parents at a very young age and others were brought by our officers after receiving them from place of abandonment
Children are blessings, they are our leaders and parents of tomorrow. Parents I urge you to take care of our blessings. said Apostle Wairimu
