Kenyan boxer and African Boxing Union middleweight champion Rayton ‘Boom Boom’ Okwiri will headline the list of boxers across five weight categories during the inaugural Finix fight night scheduled to be held of 9th September, 2023 at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium.

Boxers on the cards will each claim a share of the Ksh 2 million prize money at the finix fight night boxing extravaganza which promises to set a new benchmark in the world of entertainment and boxing rewards.

According to Finix Sports General Manager Cliff Mboya the boxing night will be an exceptional gathering that unveils an exciting chapter in the Kenyan boxing scene which will showcase the innovative approach Finix Sports is taking to champion boxing.

During the launch of the fight night at the Finix Casino in Nairobi, Mboya announced that Finix Sports plans to have boxing bouts every three months.

“We are looking at having boxing bouts every three months. During the event on 9th September, we shall have five categories where the winners will walk away with a share of the 2 million shillings prize money.

Okwiri said that he is still in active boxing but has as well ventured into boxing promotion. Okwiri has started an initiative dubbed Ndondi Jikoni where he visits boxing clubs to distribute boxing gear as well as distribute food in less fortunate neighborhoods and inspire upcoming boxers.

Tim Adeka, the Finix Sports brand manager offered that Finix Sports was not into boxing promotion and the bouts had been sanctioned by the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) through Okwiri Management Ventures which is licensed to promote boxing as Finix Sports manage the athletes. In January, Okwiri signed a new management deal with Finix as his new managers with Mboya as the operations manager, Adeka his brand manager and Mark Wanyanga as his legal counsel.
