Mlango Kubwa FC recked havoc as they thumped Mathare ERC 7-0 as neighbours Pool FC claimed a 4-1 victory over Faith Homes in Mathare Sub County as the Sakaja Super Cup last match week five fixtures were played today, Thursday 9th November, 2023.
On the penultimate day of group stages in the inaugural tournament, teams across Nairobi county squired it out for a chance to advance to the quarter finals scheduled to be played over the next weekend.
In Dagoretti South Sub County, Pool D matches, Mutuini Rangers hit a brace past Uthiru United as Collins Kamau found the back of the net for Mutuini in the 20th minute before Njuguna Francis added a second goal for the home team in the 72nd minute.
Pool C saw Uthiru Dreamers granted a walk over on a 2 nil and three points basis after their opponents Makombora Bulls failed to honor their last group match.
Match week five action in Mathare Sub County saw New Mathare overpower Imara with a solitary goal as Huruma Sports went down fighting losing 1-3 at the hands of True Colours.
In Langata Sub County, Strathmore Complex was action packed as South C United overcame 3-1 Madaraka in a 3-1 scoreline.
B-13 FC shoved aside rivals Mainstream Academy FC by a 2-1 goal margin. B-13 FC went ahead with a two first half goals in the 13th and 26th minutes before Mainstream Academy FC pulled one back in the 43rd minute.
Kamukunji Sub County saw Eastleigh South FC put four past Makali to end in a 4-0 win after goals from Collins Okelo, Aston Maina, Richard Owuondo and Antony Okoth. At the Calvary Grounds in Embakasi South Sub County, Kayole Asubuhi were easily awarded a walkover after Matopeni FC failed to turn up for their fixture. At Umama grounds in Embakasi Central, Iraks Foundation suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Jaba FC as Boniface Iganji and Braxton Omondi penned their names on the score sheet for Iraks Foundation. Jaba FC secured their victory courtesy of goals from Evans Onyango, Shratos Mmar, Felix Bokao, Shayo Augustine and Khalisia Johnson.
Kapollo FC suffered a humiliating 11-0 defeat at the hands of Kayole South All Stars. In Ruaraka Sub-County, Homeboyz settled for a goal less draw with Sinai as Youth Vision overcame Shinners 1-0 in their Embakasi East zone A encounter.
Embakasi All Stars were awarded a walkover after Utawala United failed to honor their last group match. Embakasi United and Utawala Youth drew 1-1 with goals coming courtesy from Maina Elvis for Embakasi United in the 24 th minute after Clinton Kisyavuli had converted a penulty for Utawala Youth in the 20 th minute penalty.
Levites FC overcame Soweto all stars 1-0 courtesy of Herera Odhiambo’s 68 th minute strike. At Kamukunji, Burma continued with their fine form as they won 4-0 while in Kasarani sub county, Kamal FC outshined Maaji with a 3-2 victory in a five goal thriller.
Kamal secured their victory courtesy of goals from Pascal Alvis who scored a hat trick in the 33rd, 37thand 91st minutes as Maaji pulled a brace with goals from Joseph Okaro in the 48th minute and Moses Thuku in the 80th minute.
Kasarani Fc Defeated Victors Faith Fc 5-0 as Wisdom Wakoli, Bryan Otieno ,Kevin Kioni , John Njoroge and David Musya all put their names on the score sheet. At the Muhuri Muchiri ground Plan B won 4-1 against Wolfburg fc before Mwiki United defeated Clay city by four goals to one..
In Langata Subcounty, Juakali won 1-0 against Mtaani as Pumwani sports were the better side against Kiambui warriors emerging with a 3-0 victory. Westlands Sub County saw Deepsea defeat Kibagare Sportiff 1-0 as Kangemi All-stars also found the better of Karura Greens by a solitary goa courtesy of Marvin Inyange early 3rd minute goal. City park won 1-0 over Uthiru Vision while U.O.N Red City Fc and Kibagare Slums played out a goal less draw.
