Member of Parliament for Chikwawa North Constituency, Owen Chomanika, has acknowledged the numerous challenges faced by the people in his area. As the deputy minister of Local Government, Culture, and Unity, he is actively working to address these issues.
During a donation event held at group village headman Bello in the area of Senior Chief Mlilima, Chomanika distributed bags of maize to help alleviate the hunger faced by 1,000 households in his constituency. He emphasized that President Lazarous Chakwera is committed to tackling the issue of hunger in the country.
Chomanika also outlined plans for various development projects in his constituency, including the construction of a modern bridge over the Likhubula river. This project aims to improve mobility for the people, especially during the rainy season when the river poses a challenge.
One of the beneficiaries, Dita Saulo, expressed gratitude towards the Parliamentarian and praised him as a visionary leader in the area. The community is hopeful that with Chomanika’s efforts and the support of the government, they will be able to overcome the challenges they face.
