Villagers from Saindi and Mphungu in Chikwawa Nkombedzi Constituency have praised their law maker Abida Mia who is also Water and Sanitation Minister following maize received on Friday.

Beatrice Khola of Mphungu area previously was struggling to get food since has three children she looks after.

According to her the food has come as solace.

Mia who is also known as iron lady in the country has helped her people with food stuff courtesy of Muslim World league.

She emphasized to continue helping constituents to alleviate hunger problems in the area.

This is not first area she has done the gesture as last week stormed semba village where thousands residents received the food.

Councilor of the area Aubrey Masanza explained that Abida has come to stay.

The counterpart of Masanza, Khofati Wesley Malunga has been telling people to vote Abida Mia again during 16th September 2025 polls.
